More Black-and-White Songs

Black and White Warblers are gleaners, foraging most often on tree trunks and branches.  This warbler interrupts his foraging for a refreshing bath at the Water Hole.  He then preens in the shrubs before returning to his persistent search for food.

Black-and-White Warblers breed in the eastern US and Canada, so this male may not be far from his breeding territory, where his offspring will most likely begin life in a nest on the ground.
